"This life. This night. Your story. Your pain. Your hope.
It matters. All of it matters."

I am a trauma-informed therapist with an attachment focus. Creating a safe environment where you can explore your experiences and the impacts these experiences have had on you is of great importance to me. I am passionate about helping my clients heal from trauma and cultivate compassionate relationships within themselves. Through the therapeutic relationship, clients are able to connect with their stories, express their needs, and gain emotional freedom.
I have 20 years of experience working with individuals in both pastoral and clinical settings. Before returning to graduate school, I worked in various pastoral roles including grief counseling, discipleship, and leadership training. Through my time in ministry, I developed an interest in how to live in both emotional and spiritual health.
My approach to therapy is comprehensive. I use a combination of somatic, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and narrative therapies as clinically indicated. Much of my work is grounded in the Spiritual Root System TM in order to help others learn how to feel their feelings, identify and express their needs, discover a deeper sense of self, and experience personal growth and healing through the therapeutic process.
When I am not counseling, I love spending time with my family. I am married with two daughters, and a rescue pup, Roxy. Camping, hiking, biking, reading, music, and creating art are some of my favorite pastimes. I believe that understanding feelings, hopes, needs, and desires is not only a goal for my clients, but a worthy pursuit for myself and my family.
